For some years now, members of the church have been encouraging those with free time over the summer, particular younger members, to apply for short term Beach Missions. These are run by an organisation called United Beach Missions (UBM), which was set up in the desire to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to holidaymakers, in a relaxed, unpressured situation where they would not only have the time to listen, but also think carefully about His claims on all of our lives.

UBM publishes its own prayer letter with specific week by week prayer requests during the holiday season, available from their website. A few general requests however, are:

• Pray that, as society becomes increasingly closed towards Christian mission, Beach Missions would still be able to function with freedom, and that the gospel would continue to reach those on the beaches of Britain and France.
• Pray that Christians, both from our church and across the UK, would continue to be willing to use their free time in the summer to serve in beach teams.
• Pray that the adults and children who do turn to Christ during the mission weeks would be built up in him throguhout the rest of the year by fellowship with local churches, and the faithful ministry of the Bible.
