About GEC
Goldington We now meet in Goldington Middle School in Haylands Way, having previously met in the Social Centre on Barkers Lane, and before that in a smaller hall in Putnoe. Many of the congregation live in Goldington or Putnoe, while others live in other parts of Bedford and the surrounding villages. As a church we aim to serve the local community by putting our Christian faith into practice. Evangelical ‘Evangelical’ means Good News or Gospel. We want to share the Good News about Jesus Christ in our local community, through regular Sunday Services, clubs for young people, distribution of literature, visiting, and involvement in local activities. Evangelical churches are known for believing wholeheartedly the Bible message and seeking to spread it to all those who will listen. Church A church is a group of Christians (not a building) who meet together regularly to praise God and enjoy one another’s company. The basis of our fellowship together is not our age, gender, race, education or background but our faith in God and our desire to live as followers of Jesus Christ. Why not come and meet us, and find out more about us and the one we worship? |
